PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD

 United States Navy shipyard in Kittery, Maine for overhaul and repairing US Navy nuclear submarines

Prepared and authorized the energy source isolations necessary to protect personnel and both nuclear and non-nuclear shipboard equipment during Los Angeles- and Virginia-class submarine repair. Investigated work and test control problems to determine corrective actions for issues. Authorized and executed tests of non-nuclear ship systems.

• •As Point-Of-Contact (POC) for vendor work on SSN-725 (USS Helena) and SSN-774 (USS Virginia) projects, was the liaison for multiple parties including Navy personnel, zone managers, shop supervisors, and vendors.  

• •Pre-availability project preparations included AutoCAD drawings for SSN-725 (USS Helena), SSN-751 (USS San Juan), and Portsmouth's first ever Virginia-class availability SSN-774 (USS Virginia)  

• •Off-yard TDY (Temporary Duty) to Pearl Harbor Shipyard for SVRLA shipalt on SSN-766 (USS Charlotte)
